Artist's Comments

My first attempt to do an oil painting. I'm quite proud of it, although it's an easy and quick one. Hope I'd have time for paint more soon, and maybe sell a couple =P.

Yes, I can say that the source of inspiration was my holidays in the countryside but the truth is I couldn't think in nothing more than Renly's peach from "The Clash of Kings". And then smile.

PS: Still drying

Wow! This is really beautiful! I can practically taste the peach by looking at this! Very impressive!

Many thanks! You have summarized almost everything which I wanted to transmit with the painting.

I was thinking of Renly's peach too when I saw the title :D The colours are beautiful and I especially like the lighting. The glow surrounding your peach makes it look like an item with magical powers (like, say, Snow White's apple) :)

beautiful foret ground here, nice "real" feeling to this, and then strange also, because not so common to see a peach on a forest ground... NICE

Jejeje, Renly and the peach is unforgettable, one of the most philosophical moments in all the books.

Thanks for the comment! You're right I tried to paint it little suprarealistic.
:iconbodach:
Waw! It's Great to read a comment from you again, welcome!
About reality... well the ground under peach trees looks like the picture, I use to spend my time eating peaches there, and also I use a photo as a guide. However I'm happy if it looks strange.

That was one of my favorite parts of that book. Maybe one of the tops of the series.

Damn. If only Renly and Stannis coulda chilled out.

The difference between a flower and a weed is EXACTLY and ONLY this: The Choice of the Gardener!!
:iconbodach:
Stannis is too inflexible, he cannot relinquish or resign if he thinks that it's his right. Anyway the scene is very funny.

Thanks for comment!
